By creating an account or using PenFreely you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity on your account. One account per person.
You own everything you write. Publishing a book to the library grants readers a personal, non-commercial licence on the Free plan; paid plans grant a commercial licence going forward. You can unpublish at any time.
Ink is an in-app credit used to generate prose and earned through publishing and reviews. Ink has no monetary value, is not your property, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Do not publish unlawful content, infringe others’ rights, or abuse the ratings and rewards system (e.g. fake accounts or self-dealing). We may remove content or suspend accounts that do.
PenFreely is provided “as is” during the beta, without warranties. We are not liable for lost work; keep your own backups via export.
We may update these Terms. When the version changes you will be asked to accept the new Terms before continuing.
